This page documents former versions of Cotton Noodle. Although this site has been around in various forms since 2016, its first official version arose in November 2024 when I rebuilt it in Hugo. The version numbers represent significant changes to the site, including visual redesigns.

Version 2 (current version)

Released in February 2026. This version was a redesign and a bit of a front-end code tidy-up. The underlying system was generally left untouched. Major changes include:

  • New colour scheme
  • Semantic HTML (mostly)
  • Removed BEM and the majority of CSS classes
  • Dark mode

Version 1

Released in November 2024. This version was my first foray into building a site with Hugo and was also my first serious front-end project since around 2005.
